Assumes responsibility for the clinical coordination and consultation regarding care across the continuum for all stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients Consults and partners with nursing leadership as needed to achieve desired patient outcomes Assesses educational needs of staff and assists in the development of educational programs, staff education materials, and community education as needed Maintains and ensures compliance of continuing stroke education for providers and nursing staff Ensures evidence‑based screening and treatment protocols are the standard of care within the facility Provides appropriate feedback and coaching to staff based on data analysis and observation Ensures accurate and timely collection of clinical data, verifying and updating data as needed Shares prepared data with key stakeholders in an understandable and meaningful context to motivate adherence to protocols and continuous improvement Co‑chairs the Stroke Committee and chairs the Sepsis Workgroup Serves as a resource to staff, physicians, patients, and families Completes stroke registry and sepsis core measure abstraction, ensuring core measure requirements are met Performs a variety of technical and specialized tasks involved with the concurrent and retrospective evaluation of patient care Utilizes quality improvement tools, including root cause analysis, to investigate fall outs and generate action plans Provides assistance to all hospital departments in implementing and sustaining their quality improvement processes related to stroke, sepsis and STEMI. Assumes responsibility for meeting state and national regulatory requirements, including State of Missouri Level 3 Stroke Designation as well as maintaining a state of survey readiness for this program. Participates in division‑wide collaboration to improve patient outcomes Demonstrates working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care Follows hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care What qualifications you will need Graduate of Professional School of Nursing BSN preferred MO RN licensure BLC required ACLS within 6 months of hire 3+ years nursing experience in Nursing or Critical Care Benefits Belton Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
