Intake Specialist

Overview Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a full-time (35 hours/week) Intake Specialist to support the firm’s client intake in our Pensacola office. Work for a nonprofit law firm with 140+ employees in eight offices across North Florida that seeks legal justice while understanding the value of work-life balance. The position involves working independently and as part of a team to obtain positive results in civil legal matters for vulnerable members of the community. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help and connect people with the legal support they need. Engage directly with potential clients to collect initial information about their legal problems, income, and personal circumstances, often during times of stress or crisis. Document information clearly to lay the groundwork for attorneys to assess and respond to each client’s situation. Qualifications Strong typing and excellent grammar and writing skills. High attention to detail; ability to listen carefully and ask clear, thoughtful follow-up questions. Comfortable working with individuals in high-stress or emotional situations; able to collaborate effectively with others in local and remote team settings. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and use of technology; comfort with typical office software. Preferred: fluency in a second language or experience working with victims or individuals who are experiencing trauma. Salary and Benefits Entry level salary of $34,000 is negotiable, depending on experience.
