Mechanical EIT - Building Engineering

Our Mechanical EIT role contributes to this mission by supporting commercial and institutional projects, enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects. Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Write and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devices. Utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selections. Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications and reports. Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects. Supervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines. Take responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolution. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Commercial/Institutional experience in healthcare a plus. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Healthcare and Hospital design experience. Comprehension of OSHPD/HCAI requirements. Sciences, Laboratory and Cleanroom experience. Proficiency in Trace 3D and IESVE. 4+ years of experience with HVAC or plumbing. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD. The compensation range is $71,000 – $101,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions.
