CSA Materials is seeking two Crushing Foremen to support the continued growth of their portable crushing operations across West Texas. These are newly created positions driven by increased customer demand and business expansion.
As a Crushing Foreman, you will lead a portable crushing crew, oversee daily production activities, coordinate equipment maintenance, and help ensure safe, efficient operations at project sites throughout the region. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working in the field, operating equipment, mentoring crews, and solving operational challenges.
Position Overview
The Crushing Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portable crushing spread producing road base aggregate. This position combines crew leadership, equipment operation, production oversight, and preventative maintenance responsibilities.
Project locations rotate based on operational needs and may include areas near San Angelo, Midland, Alpine, Abilene, Del Rio, and surrounding West Texas markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crushing crew of approximately 4–5 employees.
- Coordinate and execute daily production plans to meet operational goals.
- Operate crushing equipment and support equipment as needed.
- Monitor production, quality, and safety performance.
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and assist with frontline mechanical repairs on crushing equipment.
- Coordinate equipment inspections and maintenance schedules.
- Train, mentor, and support equipment operators and crew members.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding production, maintenance, and operational needs.
- Travel and rotate between project sites as business needs require.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in aggregate, quarry, or portable crushing operations.
- Experience leading crews in a crushing or heavy equipment environment.
- Hands-on experience operating crushing equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting, including work involving blow bars, rotors, alignment, and related crusher components.
- Understanding of safe work practices and MSHA-regulated environments.
- Ability to work at rotating project locations throughout West Texas.
- Ability to pass a WorkSteps physical assessment.
Preferred
- Portable crushing spread experience.
- Experience with multiple crusher makes and models.
- Familiarity with TxDOT specifications and road base production.
- Experience training, mentoring, or developing equipment operators.
- Experience working in West Texas or the Permian Basin region.

Compensation & Benefits Highlights
- Base Salary: $75,000–$80,000+ annually (salaried position)

- Per Diem: $50/day for each overnight stay while working at remote project locations
- Weather Days Paid: Employees continue to receive pay during weather-related shutdowns
- Bonus Opportunity: Additional bonuses may be awarded based on company and individual performance at the discretion of ownership
