QC Receiving Inspector

BENEFITS Medical, dental, life insurance covered by the company 401(k) retirement plan with company match Two (2) weeks vacation Ten (10) paid holidays POSITION SUMMARY This position performs work related to quality and specification compliance inspection of raw materials, packaging materials and returned goods. The position may also require investigation of non‑conforming materials, assistance with shelf‑life sample handling, and online QC backup, sometimes off‑hour or on weekends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Receiving Inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials according to QA/QC work instructions. Inspect incoming bulk materials (sugar, soybean oil, non‑GMO soybean oil). Collect samples using hygiene methods when needed according to the receiving manual. Organize and update Raw Material Manual. Organize and update receiving records. Organize and update COA from suppliers. Work with the QA Supervisor to investigate non‑conformance of RM/PM. Inspect returned goods for quality condition. Organize and account for shelf‑life samples. Online Inspection: Conduct online inspections and verify control parameters according to procedures and instructions for production, filling and packaging processes. Record inspection results, including weigh‑up, filling temperature, packaging material, product code, container closure, etc. Perform GMP/hygiene inspections based on GMP and hygiene standards, correct violations, and report to production supervisor and/or QA Manager. Conduct daily and monthly sanitation inspections, including pre‑operation and post‑operation inspections. Perform ATP test and environmental swabbing. Record results of inspections and communicate with Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager. All jobs shall be conducted timely according to QA/QC work instructions. Observe and record non‑conforming products/production and promptly communicate for immediate action. Assist the QA Manager with any tasks related to quality compliance. Perform other special assignments from management. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED. Experience: Must work independently and in cross‑functional teams to achieve established goals. Skills: Detail‑oriented, quality‑oriented, high sense of responsibility; ability to apply common sense to carry out written and oral instructions. Language: Speak, write, read, and understand English. Bilingual in English/Chinese or Spanish preferred. Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
