Job Summary:

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting resident comfort, nutrition, and overall dining satisfaction by assisting with meal service, food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen support.

The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, service-minded, and committed to providing a positive dining experience for residents in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation, tray setup, food portioning, and meal service in accordance with resident diet orders, menus, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Serve meals to residents in a timely, respectful, and resident-centered manner.

• Assist with preparing beverages, snacks, supplements, and other dietary items as directed.

• Follow resident diet instructions, portion guidelines, texture modifications, and special meal requests as assigned.

• Help ensure meals are accurate, attractive, and served at proper temperatures.

• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to facility procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, dining area, food service area, and storage area.

• Follow proper food handling, infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.

• Assist with receiving, stocking, labeling, rotating, and storing food and supplies as needed.

• Communicate effectively with the Dietary Supervisor, cooks, Dietitian, nursing staff, and other facility team members.

Requirements:

• Prior food service, dietary, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred.

• Ability to follow menus, diet instructions, portion guidelines, and facility procedures.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Benefits:

• Sick pay

Salary Range: $17-$18 hourly, based on experience
