SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE The Senior Staff IT Product Lead – Digital Applications will lead a portfolio of digital products critical to Exelixis' success and ambitiously launch innovative medicines for patients. This role drives strategy, development and operational excellence of our digital application ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business objectives and a strong focus on user experience and value delivery. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Product Strategy & Roadmap (Product‑Centric Focus) – Own two or more digital products, define vision and strategy in the Digital Applications job family, gather user needs, develop product requirements and user stories, support market research and technology reviews, evaluate business value, technical feasibility and compliance considerations, and up‑hold architecture and design standards. Product Development & Delivery (Agile/Product Team Support) – Own product development activities across one or more digital products through concept to launch and post‑launch support using Agile practices; draft user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborate with engineering, architecture and QA teams, coordinate vendor and service provider activities user experience improvements using usability testing and end‑user research. Stakeholder Management & Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language, build relationships and support alignment on product goals and deliverables, participate in cross‑functional discussions, own planning sessions, and provide product‑related decision input. Operational Excellence, Quality & Compliance – Maintain stability, performance and security of digital applications, manage vendor interactions, support compliance with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR and other internal standards, oversee quality assurance activities, maintain data management & AI practices for data integrity, and monitor product performance metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and nine years of related experience; or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics or engineering and seven years of related experience; or PhD degree and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Minimum five years supporting enterprise IT enabling business functions; minimum seven years of progressive experience in IT focused on digital applications or product management within the life science or pharmaceutical industry; proven leadership of product development teams in an agile/product‑centric operating model; deep understanding of drug discovery, clinical development, quality and regulatory submissions lifecycle in a pharma or biotechnology company; demonstrable success delivering complex digital products that drive significant business value. Industry/Technology: Experience with platforms such as Veeva, LabWare LIMS, Tracelink, AWS, Azure or other relevant business function technologies; regulatory framework compliance in GxP environments. Skills: Exceptional leadership and team‑building, strategic thinking, data‑driven decision making, excellent communication and collaboration at all levels, mastery of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, solid technical acumen with complex IT architectures and development processes, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. WORKING CONDITIONS Office is modern, open‑plan with collaboration tools and ergonomic furniture. Occasional travel (5–10%) to other company sites, conferences or vendor locations; on‑call availability for critical escalations. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base pay range $168,500 – $239,500 annually, adjusted for geographic region.
