Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist Ruth & Norman Rales JFS is currently seeking a part time Occupational Therapist for the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center. This position will perform various duties including, but not limited to, providing quality/ethical clinical services, maintaining a positive attitude towards others, developing/maintaining relationships with clients, families and other professionals, and providing direct occupational therapy services to children at the Center (individual and group). This position will work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs diagnoses/disorders, utilizing innovative therapy approaches including co-treatments and collaborating with other professionals (such as SLP’s, PT’s, BCBA’s, and clinical when applicable) to help children meet their full potential. Occupational Therapists will be engaged in a multidisciplinary team approach across disciplines, and will be responsible for maintaining the required paperwork in spreadsheets and in our documentation systems. Required Education & Experience: Minimum of a Master’s degree in related discipline Certification and state licensure as an OT, PT, or SLP in good standing Experience performing evaluations and ongoing assessments Skilled in writing reports, treatment plans, and establishing goalsMinimum 2 years’ experience working with children across a spectrum of disabilities and special needs Available to work between the hours of 2pm and 6pm Flexibility to meet the needs of others and the team and work as part of a multidisciplinary clinic Ability to communicate with others with respect, encouragement, open-mindedness, and provide supportive feedback.
