Sales Associate

Position Summary Part‑time Sales Associate at Five Below. Responsibilities include delivering customer service, driving sales, and supporting store operations. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently. Assess customer needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns, offering solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives. Qualifications At least 16 years old. Available to work a flexible schedule. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices. Good communicator capable of engaging customers. Can handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally. Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Frequently operate cash registers. Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet. Frequently ascend or descend ladders to retrieve or put away stock. Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor. Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, and with managers and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts and travel as required. Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
