Porter Position at Gateway on Cullen Student Living ApartmentsGateway on Cullen Student Living Apartments is hiring a Porter in Houston, TX.ResponsibilitiesKeep the property clean and free of trash and debrisPick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spacesClean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areasMaintain dumpster and trash areasAssist the maintenance team with light tasks when neededReport any maintenance or safety concerns to managementHelp keep the community neat and welcoming for residentsRequirementsClean and remove debris from walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas.Empty trash cans regularly.Maintain tools and equipment; ensure safe and proper use.Assist with snow and ice removal (if applicable).Support maintenance staff with light tasks as needed.Inspect vacated units and create a punch list of needed repairs.Paint walls, patch holes, and touch up surfaces.Replace or repair appliances, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and hardware as needed.Test and ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning.Install blinds, doors, smoke detectors, and other fixtures.Communicate with property management and maintenance staff about unit status and timelines.Maintain inventory of supplies and request materials as needed.Ensure units meet cleanliness and safety standards before move-in.Turn Season Availability Requirement: Selected candidate will be required to work daily for approximately 20–30 consecutive days during the student housing Turn season, including weekends and extended hours as needed.BenefitsCompetitive PayMedical and RxPaid Time OffRetirement and 401kShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityVoluntary LifeVisionDental
