Litigation Paralegal

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Florida’s largest full-service civil litigation firm, continues to grow and is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Tampa office. Qualified candidates must be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or Certified Paralegal (CP), or hold a paralegal degree or certificate from an ABA-approved program. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant paralegal experience, with a strong background in insurance defense litigation and personal injury. Trial experience is a plus. Prior billing experience is preferred; all candidates must bill their time contemporaneously in accordance with firm and client billing guidelines. Responsibilities Assisting attorneys in case management from inception through trial Organizing, analyzing, and reviewing court documents and case materials Coordinating discovery and preparing related responses and documentation Conducting legal research as needed Preparing subpoenas, exhibits, trial binders, and other pre-trial materials Accurately and timely entering billable time on a daily basis Requirements Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience and strong familiarity with personal injury cases Insurance defense background preferred Prior billing experience with contemporaneous time entry required Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or Certified Paralegal (CP), or hold a paralegal degree or certificate from an ABA-approved program Strong understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing procedures Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 20 days (PTO) annually 401(k) retirement plan Life insurance Short- and long-term disability Long-term care insurance additional ancillary benefits #PLC #J-18808-Ljbffr
