Ultrasound Technologist Contract OpportunityUtilize your ultrasound expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment, working alongside a dedicated radiology team to provide essential imaging services. This contract opportunity offers night shifts from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM and requires adaptability to both hospital and outpatient settings. Expect to float as needed between the main hospital and a nearby outpatient imaging center.Schedule/Hours:7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shiftsWeekend work required as needed (no set rotation)13-week schedule cyclesHoliday requirement: Work 75% of scheduled holidaysMinimal on-call responsibilitiesPosition Highlights:Support an average patient volume of 250-300 per dayLevel 3 Trauma, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center environmentTechnologies include Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound unitsUse the EPIC EMR systemInteract with occasionally present radiology studentsRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologistVascular ultrasound imaging proficiencyCurrent BLS certificationNational credential (ARDMS or ARRT; no anatomy subspecialty required)First-time travelers are not acceptedFast learner and strong multitasking abilities necessaryMust be able to provide a photo ID during complianceNo NC State Licensure requiredDuties and Responsibilities:Perform quality general and vascular ultrasound studiesAdapt workflow to meet urgent imaging needs of varied patient populations, including cancer, stroke, COVID, heart attack, and moreMaintain professional rapport with patients, staff, and studentsAdhere to departmental standards and safety protocolsFlexibly float between inpatient and outpatient settings as assignedEnjoy free onsite parking and a supportive, collegial department culture.
