Job Summary

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is the foundation of everything we do. The Product Sales Assistant Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering world-class guest experiences by overseeing daily sales and guest service operations across multiple outlets. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams while leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Product Sales team in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $57,784.00 - $64,064.00

Job Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

• Oversee daily operations of the Lionshead ticket office, Lost & Found office, and outdoor Product Sales team to ensure efficient, accurate, and high-quality guest interactions.
• Serve as a frontline support resource as needed during peak business periods.
• Address guest questions, concerns, and escalations, delivering timely and effective resolutions that support positive guest satisfaction outcomes.
• Maintain working knowledge of and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and support Product Sales team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
• Monitor and document teammate performance and behavior, providing timely recognition, constructive feedback, corrective action, or escalation when appropriate.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling efforts, with direct input into staffing and performance decisions.

Business & Administrative Oversight

• Monitor and maintain sales facilities, equipment, inventory, payroll processes, and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with internal partners to align operational needs, staffing levels, and guest service priorities.
• Participate in leadership forums, contribute feedback and insights related to product sales operations, training effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively in English to support guest and team interactions
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a related field
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume, guest-facing, or seasonal environment

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays

The expected pay range is $57,784.00 - $64,064.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
