Datacenter Operations Specialist

\nLocation- Kenilworth, NJ// Caledonia, MI// Afton, TX// Dalton, GA// Lowell, MA// Lynnwood, MA// Marble, NC // Quincy, WA (Onsite)
\nContract
\n \nWhat You'll Do:
\nMaintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
\nConduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
\nRoot cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
\nTraining of internal teams.
\nDevelopment of documentation.
\nProvide technical support to data center teams.
\nDevelopment of scripts to update the server and networking hardware.
\nMaintain inventory
\n.Assemble and install equipment.
\nPerform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.
\nEssential duties include the ability to respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.
\n \nWho You Are:
\n \nComputer Hardware experience (troubleshooting| assembling)Linux Operating System experience.
\nAbility to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
\nAbility to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
\nAbility to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces| such as under-floor areas or on ladders| to access server racks.
\nAbility to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills| such as handling small hardware components and cables.
\nAvailability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment| including participating in a rotating on-call shift.
\nExcellent time management| organizational| and communication skills.
\nMust be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
\nWork is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center. Candidates must be able to perform essential job duties in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow - specifically within designated hot and cold aisles - ranging from 60F to 90F.Preferred:Hands -on OR education-based experience with any of the following areas: Computer Hardware| including troubleshooting and repair skills experience Data Center experience Computer Networking experience
\nPython| Bash| or other scripting languages experience
\nExperience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
