Position Overview:

The I&E supervisor provides first-line leadership of the Instrumentation and Electrical team to ensure effective planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and repair activities for instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems across manufacturing facilities. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and maintenance best practices while supporting 24/7 emergency response needs. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee personnel and activities related to the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of instrumentation, electrical, and control system equipment. 
• Coordinate maintenance work with outside contractors and resolve contractor-related issues. 
• Administer and enforce maintenance procedures, shutdown and turnaround plans, inspection and testing procedures, permitting requirements, and safety protocols. 
• Review specifications and drawings to support the purchase and installation of automated instrumentation systems for new or improved operations. 
• Develop cost estimates and coordinate procurement of necessary parts, tools, and materials. 
• Maintain equipment information within CMMS and other databases, analyze maintenance data, and recommend repair solutions. 
• Train or coordinate training for personnel on testing equipment, troubleshooting methods, and control system hardware and software. 
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as relevant industry standards. 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Utilize computer systems and technology tools to organize, analyze, and manage work activities. 
• Protect and maintain company assets and property within the assigned area of responsibility. 
• Serve as or coordinate emergency maintenance response support and maintain overtime rotation schedules. 
• Review documentation, approve timesheets, assist with training, handle first-step grievances, and provide personnel recommendations. 
• Promote safety, report unsafe conditions, and maintain all required environmental, health, and safety training. 
• Comply with all organizational policies and procedures. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Vocational or trade school certification or equivalent experience. 
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with instrumentation, control systems, and/or electrical systems. 
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical Engineering or Automated Systems. 
• Experience working in facilities regulated under OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements. 
• Experience working in a union environment. 

Required Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid Hawaii Driver License. 
• First Aid/CPR Certification (required after hire). 
• Forklift (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification (required after hire). 
• Aerial and Scissor Lift Certification (required after hire). 

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
