Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Licensed Practical NurseThe Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.EducationMinimum Level of Education Required: Diploma ProgramLicensure/Certification/RegistrationValid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licenseCurrent AHA BLS certificationCertified to administer medicationsPreferred: IV CertificationExperienceMinimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experienceKnowledge/SkillsMust be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanorBasic computer knowledgeStrong organization skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skills
