MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

SLB Ville Platte is looking for a skilled tradesperson in the Ville Platte, LA area that specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems and equipment necessary for the operation of CNC Machines. Industrial Controls Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge of instrumentation and controls components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. They must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient. Tasks performed by the Controls Technician on CNC Machinery can often be physically demanding. In order to install and repair equipment, they may need to kneel, crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time. They must also be able to operate tools in close proximity to electrical components. Controls Technicians must also be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, and written or verbal instructions. They must also be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position and be capable of working with limited supervision.
