Interpreter

We are currently seeking a skilled and professional Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Los Angeles. As an Interpreter you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between English and Malayalam for various clients in a variety of settings. Responsibilities Provide oral interpretation services during meetings, conferences and other events Translate written documents from English to Malayalam and vice versa Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times Research technical terminology to ensure accurate interpretation Adapt to different dialects, accents and cultural differences in order to provide effective communication between parties Keep abreast of industry developments and new vocabulary in both languages Requirements Fluent in both English and Malayalam verbal and written Proven experience as an interpreter or translator preferred but not required Familiarity with translation software is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret accurately, quickly and clearly Strong knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to adapt accordingly Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or related field preferred Relevant certification from a recognized institution is a plus Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Salary: $1600 per month, negotiable based on experience. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment. Applicants must have their own visa or be authorized to work in the United States.
