This position will perform material handling operations to bring material to POU (Point of Use) and may include:Use of ForkliftsPallet JacksBandersBox BuildingOther packing processesJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environmentMay be required to use an overhead hoist to move large componentsMay require utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down and standing forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of areaMay unload parts from tubs or baskets according to production scheduleMay perform order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and suppliesMay require operating automated packaging equipmentCross training in other positions up within salary grade 1 may be required, based upon basic qualification and physical requirements being metExamples of positions within salary grade 1 include: Disassembly 1, Cleaning 1, Assembly 1Utilize various computer systems including email on a regular basisAll operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelinesOperator should have attention to detail and be self-motivatedOperator will work in a team environmentCandidate will work in an environment without close supervisionBasic Qualifications:Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)Required to read/write and interpret documentsTop Candidates will also have:Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and ExcelPrior use of hoistsKnowledge of engines and componentsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.)Previous forklift experiencePhysical Requirements:Job may be physically demanding at times and must be able to handle high volume fast pace operationMay work in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesMay walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutesMust be able to wear proper PPEMay be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shiftMust be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shiftMust be able operate a sitting/standing forklift for the duration of shiftCompensation & Benefits Offered!Starting hourly pay rate of $17.05 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)This position is 2nd shift with an additional 7%-night shift premiumWork Hours: 3PM-1AM; Monday - Thursday40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime80 hours of vacation with an additional 3 days (hours dependent on work schedule) of Paid Time Off (PTO) (all prorated based on hire date)10 Paid holidaysClimate controlled work environment – most areas100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employmentHealth, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employmentPotential annual performance increaseClean/safe work environmentPaid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any Caterpillar position:Background ScreeningDrug & Alcohol ScreeningPost-Offer Medical Questionnaire - clearance from Corporate MedicalSummary Pay Range: $17.05 - $22.15Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
