Title: Travel RN – Medical Surgical/Telemetry (Neuro & Stroke)

Location: Columbia, SC 29203

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days – 3×12-Hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina RN or Multistate RN license
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry experience (1 year accepted per job overview)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience
• BLS certification (Required)
• ACLS certification (Required)
• NIHSS certification (Required)
• Experience with:
  • IV therapy, PICC/central line and port management
  • Blood product administration
  • Heparin protocols and PCA
  • Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • CVA, seizure, spinal cord injury, TBI, and neurosurgical patient care
  • Feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, HFNC, CBI, and surgical drains
• Must be willing to float to other qualified units/campuses as needed
• Every other weekend required

Description:
Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN for its Neuro & Stroke unit (10 West). This 13-week travel assignment offers day shifts with the option to extend up to 26 weeks. The unit specializes in caring for adult and geriatric patients with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, and neurosurgical conditions. Nurses should have strong telemetry skills, neuro experience (preferred), and proficiency in managing complex medical-surgical patients. Epic experience is required, and candidates must be flexible to float to other units based on staffing needs. This is an excellent opportunity to work at a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with a nationally recognized Comprehensive Stroke Center.
