• Demonstrated experience in cardiac care, including working with patients in telemetry, step-down, or critical care settings.
  
• Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms, including identification of arrhythmias and understanding their clinical significance.
  
• Solid foundational knowledge of appropriate nursing interventions for various cardiac conditions, including emergency response protocols and medication administration.
  

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
  

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
  
• ACLS
  
• NIH Stroke Scale
  

• Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care Cardiac hospital RN experience
  

• Severe heart failure
  
• Pre- and post-heart transplant care
  
• Pulmonary hypertension
  

• Nurses work with advanced bedside monitoring systems and other high-tech equipment.
  
• For candidates with previous ICU experience , there are opportunities to titrate intravenous medications based on hemodynamic monitoring
  

• The unit thrives on 24/7 consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork
  
• A strong culture of collaboration and mutual support is essential for success on the AHFU.
  

• Nurses typically care for 3-4 patients , depending on acuity levels
