- Role: QA Lead Engineer
- Location: DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) or remote, East coast based
- Hours: EST business hours required
- Pay Range: $60-$75/hr
- Length: 6-12 month initial contract with potential for extension
- Utilization: 40 hours per week
- Domain: Government, public sector
This role leads quality assurance for Appianbased BPM applications supporting government operations. You will own test strategy, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration while providing direction to a QA team. The focus is on preventing defects and ensuring stable, repeatable releases. Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy and test automation for Appian applications
- Design and maintain automated test scripts across multiple layers
- Integrate testing into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Review SQL queries to validate data accuracy and behaviour
- Provide direction, mentoring, and oversight to QA team members
- Support release readiness and production validation
Must have
- 12 plus years of relevant IT experience
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD integration experience
- Extensive handson test automation scripting
- 4 plus years testing Appian applications
- Strong SQL query writing skills
- Experience leading or overseeing QA teams
- Appian certification
- Experience testing applications in government or regulated environments
