Rocket Air Supply is seeking a motivated and dependable Sales Account Manager to join our team in Arlington, Texas. Rocket Air Supply is an established aerospace fastener and hardware distributor supporting customers in the aerospace, aviation, defense, and manufacturing industries.
This position is responsible for managing customer accounts, preparing quotes, following up on customer requests, sourcing pricing and availability from vendors, and helping ensure customers receive accurate information and responsive service.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of daily responsibilities, follow through on assigned tasks, and work independently without constant direction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts and serve as a point of contact for quotes, order updates, and general sales support.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers through timely communication and professional follow-up.
- Review customer requests for part numbers, quantities, delivery dates, specifications, and documentation needs.
- Prepare customer quotes and follow up as needed.
- Contact vendors, manufacturers, and distributors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Compare vendor options to help determine the best source based on price, availability, lead time, and customer requirements.
- Communicate pricing, lead times, availability, and order status clearly to customers.
- Work with purchasing, quality, shipping, and management to help ensure customer requirements are understood and handled properly.
- Maintain accurate notes and records related to quotes, orders, vendor responses, and customer communication.
- Follow company procedures related to quality, safety, documentation, and customer service.
- Assist with other operational needs as required in a small-team environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and general data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, especially when working with part numbers, quantities, pricing, dates, and customer requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple quotes, requests, and follow-ups throughout the day.
- Comfortable making phone calls and sending professional business emails.
- Willingness to learn aerospace hardware, fasteners, industry standards, and documentation requirements.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to stay organized.
- Must be a self-starter who can follow through on tasks without constant supervision.
- Willing to be hands-on and work with the team as needed.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, manufacturing, industrial supply, distribution, fasteners, hardware, or a similar industry.
- Experience working with customer purchase orders, quotes, invoices, vendor pricing, lead times, or certificates of conformance.
- Experience using an ERP, inventory, order-entry, or quoting system.
