Job Title: Megasys Maintenance Technician (Equipment Maintenance Core 2)
Work Location: Austin, TX
Pay Rate: $24.03 - $25.50/hr
Schedule Time: 10-hour shifts; 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM. (Choice of either Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday).

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide critical on-site support in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• You will be performing daily maintenance on a variety of equipment that ensures a consistent supply of chemicals and gases necessary for producing semiconductor chips.
• This role involves working full-time to ensure 24/7 operations, handling periodic service calls, maintaining advanced gas/chemical blending equipment, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily maintenance of chemical, gas, and slurry distribution systems.
• Execute technical repairs on distribution system equipment and address chemical system leaks.
• Read, interpret, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Write technical documentation for process development and ensure accurate documentation of all activities performed.
• Provide high-level technical support during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Focus on key performance metrics related to safety, quality, and productivity alongside your team.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong overall mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify parts needed for repairs.
• Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs, read gauges, understand units of measure, and use precision measuring equipment.
• Understanding of materials of construction and chemical compatibility.
• Previous safe work practices and experience in lockout, tag-out projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: Proficiency with PLCs (including troubleshooting), startup/commissioning, and installation/maintenance of plumbing systems.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of industrial maintenance or trades work experience (e.g., plumbing, welding, oil field work, etc.).
• Preferred: Completion of trade/vocational school (e.g., Plumbing, Electrical) OR an Associate Degree in a technical discipline (Chemical Engineering, Automation Systems, etc.).

Physical Attributes:

• 75% of the time involves walking throughout the facility (3-6 miles per day).
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend at the knees, and reach overhead.
• Climbing ladders up to 12 feet tall utilizing fall protection is required.
