Marketing Event Specialist

Your campaigns won't just generate clicks. They'll fill classrooms, convention halls and events. The Florida Dental Association (FDA) is looking for a creative, organized and results-driven Marketing Event Specialist to help us market experiences that bring Florida's dental community together. If you can write an email people actually want to open, know that a great call to action can make or break a campaign, enjoy watching registration numbers move after something you've launched, and can keep multiple campaigns moving without losing the details, we want to meet you. This isn't a role where you'll spend your day waiting for someone to tell you what to post. You'll help execute integrated marketing campaigns for the Florida Dental Convention and other FDA events and educational programs across email, social media, digital advertising, web, print, video and onsite marketing. You'll have established strategies and a collaborative team around you, but you'll also have room to bring ideas to the table, recommend what's next and take ownership of getting campaigns across the finish line. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll help turn event goals into marketing campaigns that get attention and action. Manage the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns for multiple events and educational programs. Build promotional calendars, campaign timelines and communication schedules. Write compelling copy for email, social media, websites, digital ads, brochures and other promotional materials. Develop strong calls to action and tailor messaging to different audiences and stages of the registration cycle. Coordinate campaigns across email, social media, digital advertising, search, web, print, video and other channels. Coordinate creative projects with designers, printers, photographers, videographers and other vendors. Monitor campaign performance and registration trends, and recommend adjustments when the numbers indicate a change is needed. Proof marketing materials for accuracy, brand consistency and quality. Support onsite marketing and communications at events, including the Florida Dental Convention. And yes, sometimes you'll have several campaigns running at once. Doesn't just report that a campaign underperformed. You want to figure out why and what to try next. Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the details. Has ideas but also knows how to work within an established strategy and brand. Understands that proofreading is part of marketing. Takes ownership and follows through rather than waiting to be reminded of the next step. Gets genuine satisfaction from seeing something you marketed become a packed room or a successful event. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Ideally, you'll bring: 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, events or a related field. Strong copywriting and editing skills. Experience executing campaigns across multiple marketing channels. Familiarity with email marketing, social media and digital advertising. Strong project management, organization and attention to detail. Comfort using marketing metrics to inform next steps. The ability to manage competing deadlines and changing priorities. Confidence in learning new platforms and technology. A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience marketing events, conferences, associations, membership organizations or continuing education is a plus, but it isn't required. ABOUT US The FDA's Conventions & Continuing Education team plans and markets experiences ranging from focused educational programs to the Florida Dental Convention , one of the largest state dental meetings in the country.
