Job Description:

• The Electrical Engineer designs, tests, and documents safety-critical hardware.
\n
• Responsible for developing and supporting FPGA/CPLD designs through all phases of design and system integration for high-reliability embedded aerospace and ground-based vehicle systems applications.
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Perform activities such as requirements generation, design, RTL-synthesis, test bench development and design simulation, static timing, and power analysis, and requirements-based design verification.
\n
• Prototype evaluation, design-to-cost tradeoffs, design reviews, qualification test support, system integration support, production, and obsolescence support tasks.
\n
• Maintain the desire to stay current in the continuously developing field and to expand knowledge base and skills in FPGA design and digital hardware engineering.
\n
• Works with hardware engineers and senior management to enhance existing applications and build additional applications
\n
• Designs and develops hardware systems
\n
• Tests and modifies hardware to ensure it meets specifications and requirements
\n
• Understands and utilizes internal processes and tools for the development of hardware
\n
• Decisions may have minor impact on cost, schedule, and technical performance
\n
• Contributes to engineering estimates on simple hardware designs
\n
• Improved depth of product domain knowledge
\n
• Bachelor's Degree and 5-10+ years’ work experience or master’s degree and 3+ years of work experience.
\n

Required Skills:

\n
• Experience with VHDL, System Verilog designs and UVM test benches
\n
• Please for Aerospace a DO-254 experience
\n
• 5-10+ years circuit design experience, with the demonstrated ability to design HDL-based FPGAs and CPLDs.
\n
• Knowledge of digital electronic devices and circuit design principles. Experience using design/analysis tools, such as Timing Designer and Hyperlynx a plus.
\n
• Hands-on hardware build, test, and integration experience.
\n
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability, along with follow-up and monitoring skills.
\n
• Strong written and oral presentation skills.
\n
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for auto-generation of FPGA code
\n
• Familiarity with FPGA integration into digital circuit card designs to ensure electrical integrity of FPGA design in embedded applications.
\n
• 5-10 years’ work experience
\n
• Up to 25% Travel
\n
• Minimum Training/Education: BSEE
