Orthopedic Technician

Pride Health is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to join a team in Houston, TX 77030. This is a 3 Month assignment (Possibility of extension). opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Description Have a strong fiberglass and plaster casting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric orthopedic environment. Responsibilities Apply and remove casts and splints using fiberglass and plaster materials Perform basic orthopedic hardware maintenance Assist providers during clinic visits and emergency center patient care Support patient intake, rooming, and clinic flow management Educate patients and families on cast care, skin care, and post-removal instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to department standards Communicate effectively with orthopedic providers and clinical staff Monitor and manage casting supplies and exam room inventory Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked patient care areas Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of experience with: Basic casting Splinting Orthopedic hardware maintenance Strong fiberglass and plaster casting experience required Knowledge of orthopedic instruments, equipment, and aseptic techniques Ability to operate standard clinic and patient care equipment Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a clinical setting Pediatric orthopedic experience preferred Additional Information Location: Houston, TX 77030 Contract: 3 Months with possible extension Shift Schedule: Day Shift | Varies M- F | 730-4p, 830-5p, 9-530p Pay Rate: $25 - $27/hour (*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
