Major Duties Duties are listed at the GS-12 grade level.Develops, designs, and modifies civil engineering plans and specifications for new construction and maintenance.Serves as Engineering Representative (ER) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).Provides direction to others in the principles of planning, designing, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and inspection of engineering projects.Responsible for contract compliance on assigned projects.Implements and executes project plans for the engineering program area(s) assigned.Coordinates the assigned program(s) and plans with other resource management functions, monitors the accuracy of plans, policies, programs, and administration .Is responsible for final evaluation reporting and recommendations on all administrative aspects of the assigned program of work.As a senior engineer, is responsible for training other engineers and technicians in all aspects of engineering, e.g., design, operation, maintenance, monitoring etc. Education See above for education that may be qualifying for the GS-11 grade level. There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for the GS-12. Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Evaluations You will be evaluated in accordance with the category rating procedure as defined in the USDA Demonstration Project Plan. Applicants who meet the basic minimum qualification requirements established for the position will be placed in the Eligible category. You will be further evaluated against criteria for placement in the Quality category. This evaluation is based on the level of your experience, education, and/or training as determined by your responses to the Assessment Questionnaire.
