ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Member Assistance: Member Support: Greet and assist members and guests, addressing their inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience at the gym. Fitness Equipment Orientation: Offer guidance and instruction on the proper use of gym equipment, assisting members in setting up equipment and adjusting settings as needed. Safety and Etiquette : Enforce gym safety rules, including the proper use of equipment and adherence to hygiene and etiquette guidelines. Maintenance Requests: Notify the appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution. Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gym area, including sanitizing equipment, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring that towels and cleaning supplies are readily available. Membership and Access Control: Check-Ins: Monitor member check-ins, verifying membership credentials, and ensuring that only authorized individuals access the gym. Guest Registration: Assist in registering and processing guests, following club policies and fee collection procedures for non-member guests. Safety and Emergency Response: CPR and First Aid: Maintain current CPR and first aid certification, being prepared to respond to medical emergencies. Emergency Procedures: Be knowledgeable about the club's emergency response protocols, including how to respond to accidents or injuries. Equipment Maintenance: Equipment Inventory: Keep an inventory of gym equipment, ensuring that all items are in good working condition. Regular Checks: Conduct regular checks on equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff for repair or maintenance. Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

CPR and First Aid Certification is required (if not current, you will have 60 days to complete certification). Must have a friendly and positive personality. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have basic computer skills. Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic. Working knowledge of facilities and fitness.

PERFERRED WORK AND EXTRA CURRICULAR EXPERIENCE:

Ability to supervise participants. Awareness of safety concerns and risk management. BLS Certified and/or First Aid Certified or actively working toward certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions. Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly. Summary The Fitness Attendant is under the immediate supervision of the Director of Fitness. The monitor is responsible for the supervision of the tennis & fitness facilities and its patrons. The monitor is also responsible for opening, closing, and securing the facilities. They are to provide service and assistance to all members. They are also responsible for the appropriate use and cleanliness of all equipment. Additionally, all Prairie Dunes Country Club employees are required to provide a welcoming, inclusive, safe, enjoyable, and service-oriented environment for all members, and guests. Due to the cyclical nature of our industry, Club Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities. Associates who violate the rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
