CALLAWAY COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide essential, person-centered support to individuals in need of assistance in the Fulton, MO area.
Position SummaryAs a Direct Support Professional, you will support individuals with daily living needs while promoting independence, dignity, and community participation. You will work collaboratively with a care team to deliver consistent, high-quality support aligned with each person’s goals and preferences.
This is a full-time, onsite role in Fulton, MO, ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct, hands-on assistance with daily living activities and routine support as directed by care plans
Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence, confidence, and life skills
Assist with activities that promote engagement, wellness, and community involvement
Document support provided and maintain accurate, timely records according to program requirements
Communicate effectively with families/caregivers and the internal team to ensure continuity of care
Ability to provide reliable, respectful support in an onsite environment
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to follow established procedures, safety standards, and care instructions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a care team
Experience working in direct care, human services, or a related support role
Familiarity with supporting individuals with varying needs
Demonstrated ability to stay calm and professional while managing challenging situations
Strong organization and documentation habits
A commitment to person-centered support and continuous improvement
Hourly rate: $17.00
