Quality Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Description: The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products produced meet agreed upon standards and expectations.This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse a variety of quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipmentOperat e CMM and Vision System Inspection equipmentComplete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s) as needed and complete appropriate ERP/Oracle transactionsEnsure packaging requirements are met by completing daily packaging conformance auditsComplete dimensional inspections of incoming raw materialAbility to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blueprints and other quality documentsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships within team environmentPerform basic shop floor math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversionProblem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is requiredConsciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to cr eate a safe working environmentOther duties as assignedEduca tion and ExperienceHigh School or GED diploma requiredOne (1) year of previous quality technician experience preferredUnderstanding of metrology fundamentals preferredBasic understanding of Microsoft Suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel)E xcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independentMilwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Milwaukee-Tool
