Production Technician

Production SpecialistMulti-faceted, task oriented and involved in any one of the variables associated with production. Responsible for transporting product and materials using appropriate transport equipment. Provides updates on the work of the production group assigned to a product.Primary DutiesProduction of assigned productAssist in packaging productHandling of raw materials within safety and compliance standardsUse of forklift to transport product and materials within the production areaProvide information for daily production reportsHas completed basic training in Lean ManufacturingHas basic knowledge of IFS system and basic computer skillsNon-Essential DutiesMaintain cleanliness of shop work spaceDispose of bad or damaged productPerform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisorExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Six months minimum related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or production environment preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the jobForklift certification preferred
