In this role, you will provide critical support to our accounting department, manage AP processes, and ensure smooth financial data entry into our general ledger system. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Management: Perform daily accounting and clerical functions supporting AP. Invoice & PO Handling: Open mail, sort invoices, and match invoices with purchase order receivers before entering them into the system. Digital Retrieval: Download vendor invoices and files directly from vendor portals and websites. General Ledger Entry: Key daily worksheets into the general ledger system and perform daily AP GL reconciliations. Vendor Support: Research, track, and resolve any vendor billing inquiries or discrepancies. Check Processing: Prepare weekly check write reports for supervisor approval and process check runs (weekly/daily as needed). Team Assistance: Provide additional administrative and accounting support to team members and management as needed.Qualifications & Skills Experience: Prior accounting experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR). Software & Tech: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word; general PC proficiency and typing skills. Key Skills: High attention to detail, organization, reporting skills, and familiarity with financial software. Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-starter capable of following written procedures independently. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs; position requires a combination of sitting and standing to perform job functions.
