Must-Have: Pediatric and adult outpatient experience Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies for adults independently Current CPR/BLS certification

Description: This position is primarily outpatient, focusing on both pediatrics and adults, with minimal work on the inpatient side. The regular schedule consists of 4 days per week, from 0800 to 1830. There is an expectation of one weekend per month for on-call duties in inpatient coverage, approximately 2 hours per weekend shift. Approximately 60-70% of the outpatient caseload will involve pediatrics across all diagnoses and ages. The remaining 30-40% will involve adult patients, primarily post-stroke or other neuro diagnoses. Usually, there is 1 outpatient Modified Barium Swallow Study performed each week. In the inpatient setting, there are very few patients who require SLP services. Common diagnoses in inpatient care include acute stroke or other neuro conditions, primarily in adults. Pediatric patients are rarely seen in the inpatient setting. The ability to float to other units, such as acute care, may be required as needed. Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are preferred. Inpatient or acute care experience is also preferred.
