Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220 – $2,380

• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (12:00 – 22:30); weekdays with variable weekends required
• Setting: Acute/Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy — clinical inpatient pharmacist role
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute/inpatient pharmacy experience required (inpatient RPh experience)
• Residency-trained Pharmacist (RPh) required
• Valid pharmacy license in-hand prior to start (Texas license preferred; travel pharmacists must have active licensure)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Epic (electronic health record) experience preferred — Epic pharmacist experience a plus
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Experience in a Trauma Level II hospital preferred
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), IV certification, and Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical interventions for a diverse inpatient population in an acute care hospital
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV admixtures and hazardous drugs, following sterile technique and institutional policies
• Perform medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, compounding, and medication storage management
• Utilize the Epic charting system for accurate documentation, order verification, and medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV Teams, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy operations, Transportation, Unit Secretaries)
• Support weekend coverage and variable schedules as needed to ensure continuous inpatient pharmacy services
