Ultrasound Technologist Travel AssignmentFrances Mahon Deaconess Hospital is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong General Ultrasound experience and be comfortable working in a critical access hospital environment, including participating in an on-call rotation.ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic General Ultrasound examinations and obtain high-quality images for physician/radiologist interpretation.Perform OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and basic vascular ultrasound studies, including DVT and arterial studies.Assist radiologists with procedures such as breast biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and thyroid FNA.Ensure accurate patient identification, preparation, positioning, and documentation.Maintain patient safety, comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout examinations.Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to department standards.Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced critical access hospital setting.Participate in 8–10 days of on-call coverage per month, including weeknights, weekends, and potentially holidays.Required QualificationsStrong experience in General Ultrasound.Proficiency in: OB/GYN UltrasoundAbdominal UltrasoundBreast UltrasoundBasic Vascular UltrasoundDVT and arterial studiesAbility to work independently and adapt to a rural/critical access hospital environment.Strong communication, patient-care, and teamwork skills.Preferred / Bonus ExperienceExperience with Echocardiography (Echo).Additional imaging modality experience, such as X-ray, CT, or MRI.Multimodality experience is a plus but is not mandatory.Schedule & Call4 × 10-hour day shiftsMonday–FridayDay off varies, typically Monday or FridayApproximately 8–10 on-call days per monthCall may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays
