Purchasing Specialist Full-time Regular Warwick, RI, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1006 Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing Team. This role is responsible for following up on a high volume of purchase orders. They will record order confirmations and status, follow up on and resolve issues with purchase orders, and act as a liaison between our outside vendors and our internal Sales and Customer Service Teams. Location: Warwick, RI Reports to: Purchasing Manager Responsibilities: Adequately and efficiently process and record a high volume of emailed order confirmations, estimated ship dates and tracking of purchase orders Answer inbound phone calls from vendors and suppliers Research and resolve issues with open purchase orders Follow up with vendors and suppliers on purchase orders to supply payment, obtain status, request invoices, and confirm product deliveries Develop, foster, and maintain excellent relationships with vendors and suppliers Accurately and effectively communicate with internal sales teams regarding status of or issues with purchase orders Perform other miscellaneous tasks and projects assigned by the Purchasing Manager Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Associates’ preferred 1-3 years of purchasing experience Previous purchasing experience in healthcare industry a plus Excellent grammar, verbal, written, and data entry skills Knowledgeable in A+ and Salesforce software a plus Who you are: Positive team player with a strong and consistent work ethic Comfortable working in a high paced work environment Exercise good judgment to determine appropriate action Problem solver, highly organized, and strong attention to detail Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process improvements Compensation and Benefits: PTO- Vacation, Sick and 11 Paid Holidays Employer-Paid Life Insurance 401k Retirement Plan Employee Stock Ownership Plan Flexible Spending Account Voluntary Benefits – Critical Illness, Short & Long Term Disability, Accident, Life, Whole Life, and Pet insurance Tuition Reimbursement Referral Bonus Program Employee Assistance Program About CME: Dedicated to providing quality equipment, logistics, and services to healthcare.
