Senior Project Manager - Real Estate Design and Construction

Job Summary This role will become a part of a cross‑functional strategy & execution team completing projects on time, within budget and exceeding expectations. The Senior Project Manager will lead the design and construction of capital projects for the Cincinnati and Kentucky, functioning as owner’s representative on multiple construction projects. Responsibilities include orchestrating and managing projects across several cross‑functional teams, both internal and external, for new construction, renovations, or major repairs. The manager works with internal clients and stakeholders, manages teams of designers, contractors, and vendors, develops project scope, contracts services, coordinates project meetings, maintains schedules, controls quality, ensures regulatory compliance, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, and oversees project closeout. The manager also manages the quality of work to meet project goals, regularly completes and communicates progress reports and budget status, and oversees budgets ranging from $500K to $150 million on up to 30 projects per year. Location: Hybrid. Supports the Cincinnati market, occasionally helping with Kentucky locations, requiring onsite presence about 2‑3 times per week. Responsibilities Assist in the development of project scope and budget for review and approval. Manage multiple concurrent projects across teams. Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to specifications, regulations, and best practices, notifying the designer’s representative of deficiencies and following up to address them. Coordinate activities among ministries, designers, and contractors to minimize disruption and ensure continuity of services. Use the ministry project management software to produce documentation for financial tracking, maintain project diaries, and document building conditions. Manage building commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications. Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop processes and workflows aligned with client goals. Facilitate purchase, payment, and timely delivery of design, construction, and equipment contracts per ministry processes. Oversee all aspects of projects: scope, risk, schedule, quality, and communication to stakeholders. Assist in developing, revising, and implementing system processes and procedures for design and construction. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent post‑secondary education and experience (Required). Graduate Degree in a related field (Preferred). ASHE Certification (Preferred). 3–5 years experience as a construction project manager in healthcare or commercial real estate, or in a healthcare‑focused general contractor or architectural firm (Required). Working knowledge of the International Building Code, DHEC 61‑16, Joint Commission EOC Standards, NFPA, AIA, FIG, Life Safety Code (101), and NFPA 99 Code.
