Responsibilities As a Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and medical problems. Your expertise will help guide our interdisciplinary team in providing comprehensive care. Lead the interdisciplinary team in supporting PrairieCare's treatment programs, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care. Deliver high‑quality treatment to adults, adolescents, and children with psychiatric and substance use disorders, as well as their families, in accordance with your granted Medical Staff privileges. Provide services across various settings, including hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and residential programs. Stay informed about follow‑up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children to ensure continuity of care. Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for healing and growth. Qualifications You are licensed in the State of Minnesota to practice medicine. You have successfully completed an accredited postgraduate training residency. You are board certified or board eligible in general/adult psychiatry. You can maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance. You are knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders and advanced principles of abnormal psychology. You can maintain highly confidential information. You can clearly summarize pertinent clinical information in written correspondence and medical record documentation. You are proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, and can access and use intranet sites as necessary. You can smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks. You have excellent verbal and written communication abilities. You can react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations, making effective decisions under stress. After training, you are capable of managing disruptive and explosive patients. DEA certification is required. Pay & Benefits Pay range for this position is $300,000k to $325,000k depending on education and experience. Signing bonus and relocation allowance are offered.
