Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Contract PositionShifts include a variety of options: Day (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), Afternoon (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM), Midnight (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM), as well as weekend shifts. Full-time hours with the possibility of 12-hour shifts and 8-hour shifts combined are available.Job DescriptionThe Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will be responsible for performing laboratory tests to provide essential data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role involves working within various departments including clinical lab, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology.ResponsibilitiesConduct laboratory tests across micro, hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.Utilize specialized equipment such as Vitros 7600, AU480, DXH800, and more.Assist with processing samples and performing phlebotomy as needed.Ensure adherence to safety and quality control standards.Maintain accurate records and documentation using the EPIC LIS system.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 1 year of experience in a high-throughput laboratory setting.Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by ASCP or AMT.West Virginia state licensure as MLT or MLS is required.BLS certification is not required; however, experience in a patient contact role is preferred.Generalist experience required; knowledge in microbiology and clinical lab processes is essential.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
