Electrical Engineering ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000297572Date Posted:View phone number on click.appcast.io:00Location:USA - Everett, WAJob Description Qualifications:Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a high performing Electrical Engineering Manager based out of Everett, WA to support Electromagnetic Effects (EME) Engineering.Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the discipline of Electromagnetic Effects (EME) Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Position Responsibilities:Manages team priorities, work statement, and budget allocation.Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Reports progress and elevates issues to senior management as required.Partners successfully with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aero, System Stress, Production Engineering, and Supply Chain.Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.Manages, develops and motivates the team of engineers.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering related field, ABET accredited5+ years of experience in the aerospace industryStrong problem solving skillsStrong organization and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Ability to lead rapidly changing priorities1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership roleMaster’s Degree in an engineering related fieldTypical Education/ Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
