Overview The Consultant role in the water practice is an entry-level position with opportunity for advancement. We are looking for solvers—people who approach challenges with curiosity and thrive on solving complex problems. This person will work directly with industry experts within the firm to grow your knowledge as a solver. Responsibilities Develop user-friendly Microsoft Excel models that evaluate utility financial, technical, and operational data to provide reports, insight, and action plans. Work directly with senior employees and external client project teams to diagnose issues and collaboratively design effective solutions. Perform quantitative and qualitative financial and economic analyses to support end-user models using Microsoft Office tools. Conduct econometric analyses using descriptive and predictive analytics to summarize large historical datasets from various platforms, with a solver’s approach. Support development of financial models with user-friendly dashboards to improve flexibility in decision making, addressing clients’ most challenging problems. Develop project status reports and prepare reports and memoranda summarizing research findings, statistical data analyses, and results. Perform industry and/or project-specific research. Qualifications Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or Data Analytics preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel experience preferred. Knowledge of Power Query, PowerPivot, and PowerBI is a plus. Strong analytics background or formal education in transforming large datasets into coherent observations and quantitatively supported recommendations.
