Overview The Service Technician is accountable to the Service Manager and holds the responsibility of executing various HVACR tasks for residential and select commercial clients. Role Overview As a Service Technician, you will undertake a variety of HVACR duties for residential and some commercial customers. Responsibilities Collaborating within Service Department team to swiftly and efficiently conduct HVACR servicing jobs. Independently performing routine HVACR service activities. Assisting Senior Service Technicians in training other team members on service-related topics, such as call-back prevention and equipment protocols. Engaging in point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, and residential service contracts. Generating lead referrals for the sales team. Supporting the IAQ and Installation Departments as assigned. Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Service Manager. Qualifications High school diploma and completion of a post-secondary HVACR program lasting two or more years. At least one year of successful experience as a service or installation technician. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret and apply manufacturers' instructions. Physical capability to perform all duties under various conditions, including extreme weather. Interest in continuously developing HVACR skills through self-study, company training, workshops, and other professional development activities. Possession of a valid state operator's license and the ability to operate corporate fleet vehicles within 30 days of employment. Insurability by the company's insurance carrier.
