This position involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population including Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics. The ED Nurse will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to all assigned patients in the Emergency Department. Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Administer required drips and medications, including Pressors (e.g., Levophed, Epi), Vasodilators (e.g., NTG), Anti-arrhythmics (e.g., Amiodarone), and Sedation medications (e.g., Fentanyl, Propofol). Provide care for patients across various age groups and clinical presentations. Engage in floating to different departments as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, including pediatric care. Current licenses and certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC. Active New York nursing license as verified by NURSYS. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required for a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The Emergency Department consists of 64 beds, including areas dedicated to Triage, Acute care, Super Track, Trauma, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and Psychiatric care.
