JOB SUMMARY:

Melissa Memorial Hospital is looking for someone to join our team as an EMT-Paramedic. This team member will lead or assist the EMS staff and physicians in providing sick and/or injured patient evaluation, treatment, and transportation for MMH in the pre-hospital, emergency department or other hospital setting. Operates in emergent, non-emergent and/or transfer situations at an advance life support level, if necessary, until arrival at a definite care facility. We seek teammates who are caring, competent, change hardy and results oriented. Schedule: 12/hr shifts. Looking for both Full-Time and Per-Diem candidates.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

MINIMUM:

Education/Experience: Must possess a current, valid NRP/ EMT-P/EMT-I certification/license in the state of Colorado.

Technical Skills: Ability to bend, pull, push and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedures. Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment.

Other qualifications/certificate/license:

• Required: BLS certification

MELISSA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL:

Melissa Memorial Hospital is a 15-bed critical access hospital, located in Holyoke, Colorado. While being "rural" we are equipped for any situation. It is a model rural hospital with 1 operating room, surgical procedure room, 4 bay emergency room, and radiology including 64-slice CT scanner and mammography, MRI, ECHO, and Nuclear Medicine, along with other ancillary services. The hospital is co-located with a family practice clinic and retail pharmacy services. Other services include chemotherapy, general & orthopedic surgery, podiatry, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, progressive rehab services, and wound care. MMH operates a full-time EMS service and maintains a 24/7 AirLife Helicopter base.
