Advantia Health

Job Description

Job Description

About Our Organization:

Our organization specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, serving communities across Missouri and Southern Illinois with 39 practices and 17 locations. To ensure the highest standard of patient care, we have partnered with a leading health group.

We offer tailored healthcare solutions for women at every stage of life. Our patient support center operates seven days a week with extended hours, simplifying the scheduling process and providing a clinical resource where a nurse is available to address any concerns. Our commitment to compassion and value drives our approach; we prioritize listening to our patients, answering their questions thoroughly, and utilizing technology to empower them between visits. Each appointment includes bedside ultrasound services, allowing women to stay connected throughout their pregnancy, along with complimentary 4D ultrasounds and gender reveal testing.

What Are We Seeking?

We are in search of a qualified OB/GYN Physician for our Mt. Vernon location. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecological services, including routine well-woman care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based surgeries for a diverse patient demographic. Care is provided at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor medical staff, including nurses and physician assistants, on proper procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a strong track record of delivering high-quality women's health care, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing and treating gynecological and obstetrical issues, all while exhibiting a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Participate in on-call duties on a 1 in 4 schedule for obstetrical and gynecological emergencies.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic, accommodating both scheduled and same-day appointments.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and team members.
  • Exhibit a commitment to providing culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
  • Engage in ongoing education regarding current medical practices and innovations through reading medical literature and attending conferences.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
  • Valid medical license and board certification in the relevant state.
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or private practice setting.
  • Proficient in patient charting and familiar with relevant electronic medical record systems.
  • Compassionate and personable, with an exemplary bedside manner.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and strong decision-making skills.

  • Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
  • Salary range: $300,000 - $400,000 per year.
