Caregivers provide essential support and assistance to patients within healthcare facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves engaging with patients on both physical and emotional levels while maintaining accurate health records and fostering clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to patients, including hygiene and grooming assistance
- Support patient mobility and physical movement
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients
- Monitor patients' health status and report changes
- Maintain accurate and timely record keeping
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in caregiving
- Strong patient care skills with empathy
- Effective communication abilities
- Basic medical knowledge relevant to patient care
- Awareness of safety protocols and practices
- Keen observation skills to detect health changes
- BLS
