Clinical Laboratory Technician

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Lab Professional for per diem work at a hospital laboratory in Oneonta, Alabama. The role involves performing routine and complex testing procedures, operating laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality and accurate result reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality standards
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures per departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Execute and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- CLIA-compliant science education or non-traditional degree with applicable credits
- 2+ years clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
