Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $3,357 a week in all, a taxable rate of $41.92 an hour plus $1,680 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab position supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, and peripheral procedures in a high-acuity teaching healthcare facility. The role includes case monitoring, circulating or scrubbing responsibilities, procedural support, and participation in scheduled call coverage. The department manages approximately 5–15 cases daily.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience for registered nurses and technicians; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for both roles; technicians must hold certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), as the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential alone is not accepted. Registered nurses must be skilled in moderate sedation using Versed and Fentanyl, critical drip management, and monitoring and circulating cases. Technicians must be skilled in laser lead extraction, Rotablator, fractional flow reserve, intravascular ultrasound, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, EKOS, pacemaker procedures, scrubbing, pan-table setup, Medrad equipment, and groin-site management and monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, left and right heart catheterization, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, Rotablator, chronic total occlusion and staged percutaneous coronary intervention, Shockwave, temporary pacemakers, peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, loop recorders, Micra devices, pacemakers, automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, lead extractions and revisions, and generator changes.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Registered nurses and technicians participate in weekday overnight call and weekend call coverage, including two weekend shifts during each four-week schedule and approximately four to five additional overnight call shifts per four-week schedule. Holiday call may be required.
• Additional Information: The department includes three cardiac catheterization laboratories and supports approximately 5–15 cases per day. The healthcare facility is a Level I trauma center, Level III perinatal center, teaching facility, comprehensive stroke center, and Magnet-designated organization. First-time travelers are not accepted. Unit orientation includes one day on the unit.
