Facility Maintenance Technician

Responsible for maintaining the grounds, parking lot and driveways of the facility. May assist the Facility Maintenance team with general repairs.

Job Responsibilities Percentage Repair building equipment to include plumbing, structures, carpentry, dry and wet fire systems, etc. Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment to include inspection, cleaning, lubrications, adjustments and repairs, etc. Perform building modifications to include plumbing, welding, electrical, carpentry, etc. Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed. Perform other tasks as directed by Supervisor Communicate with Supervisor daily on changes and problems with building equipment. Clean work area/warehouse and equipment /Performs other relevant job duties as required.

Job Requirements Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience: High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience Experience: Two (2) years general maintenance experience Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical trades, mechanical, automomotive and/or related to building maintenance. Must be able to work flexible hours. Schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

Physical Environment/ Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
